2024 Awards Gala

A celebratory and festive evening, the Celebration of Achievements in MIGS Gala is the signature annual awards ceremony and fundraising gala for the nonprofit, The Foundation of the AAGL. This year, community leaders, physicians, philanthropists, friends and industry leaders will come together for a celebratory evening to raise awareness and funds for global outreach providing surgical care for women. While supporting this worthy cause, guests will enjoy a welcome reception, networking, superb dining, an inspiring program and dancing – all in the spirit of ensuring a bright future for women in need of surgical care.

The Foundation of the AAGL

Headquartered in California, the Foundation of the AAGL is deeply committed to its nonprofit mission of providing opportunities for education, mentorship, global outreach and patient advocacy with the goal of improving women’s health. The Foundation has provided $1.5 million to support fellowship programs in the United States, funding for research, periodic awards for outstanding MIGS achievements, scholarships for training of surgeons in developing economies, opportunities for mentorship and training to front line emergency room providers to empower progress in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and improve women’s healthcare worldwide.

Fundraising

Proceeds from the Celebration of Achievements in MIGS will benefit the Foundation of the AAGL’s Global Outreach Program providing surgical care for women in Grenada and Kenya. Your donations provide:

  • SUPPLIES: Providing the necessary supplies to assist with surgery for women
  • TRAINING: Develop curriculum training program for surgeons to study online
  • TALENT: Send volunteer medical teams to perform cases

Meet

The Emcee

Mary currently sits on the Foundation of the AAGL Board and is a Vice-President at The Oppenheim Group, in West Hollywood, CA. Mary is well-known as a cast member on the Award-Winning Netflix Show “Selling Sunset”.

Mary Bonnet recently became an author with the release of her new book “Selling Sunshine”. In her book, Mary candidly reveals the most grueling and darkest moments of her personal journey – surviving teenage motherhood, thriving in luxury real estate and finally finding her voice. Mary is passionate about women’s health and dedicated to ensuring the necessary resources and attention are at the forefront and is using her platform to raise awareness for the Foundation of the AAGL and the Global Outreach programs we support.

Meet

The Auctioneer

A native of New Orleans, Chuck Mutz is an auctioneer and fundraiser. For 15 years, Chuck has worked with professional associations to fundraise for charitable causes and has served as auctioneer at some of the most prominent galas and benefit events in the US. Chuck will direct the proceedings during the live auction at this year’s Celebration of Achievement. He will be helping guests open their hearts and wallets to support women getting proper surgical care in developing economies and throughout the world.
